Length: 29 - 32 cm Characteristics: The red spotted shank shows a longer bill and longer legs than the red shank. During the Summer the adult is completely black on the upper and lower part with white spots on the wings and dorsal. During the Winter, the upper part is gray and the feathers on the wings have black spots and white edges. Phenology: Migratory journey
